Pole Pole Animals are individually hand-carved from the light Albizia wood, then sanded to softness by local artisans before being hand-finished by Japanese artisans. Pole Pole means “slowly, slowly” in Swahili, these animals have been crafted with care from their ears to the tips of their tails for you to enjoy and treasure.
No two animals are exactly the same and the tactile smoothness and character of these charming animals make them irresistibly adorable.

The wood used for the T-Lab range is the fast growing tropical tree Alibzia to ensure eco-sustainability. To further support the environment, T-Lab also reforests plantations in order to re-pay the earth for its bounty.
The company has also recently acquired additional land in Indonesia as all their current plots have been filled and the new land is unfenced to allow wild flora and fauna to grow as naturally as possible.
