Acme Metropolitan Police Whistle

Acme's first ever whistle. Reports in The Times during the 1880's covered preliminary tests of a new cylinder shaped airfast whistle with no moving parts.

Londons Clapham Common was the setting where, by all accurate accounts, Birmingham engineer Joseph Hudsons's invention could be heard over a mile.

Results ever since have been global sales to over 120 national forces of some 45 million original style Metropolitans.
