Apostle Hot Sauce is a range of small-batch sauces handmade on New Zealand’s Kapiti Coast.
Each sauce pairs chilli with carefully chosen fruit, vegetables and spices to bring plenty of flavour alongside the heat. The illustrated labels draw on religious iconography, illuminated manuscripts and traditional tarot artwork.
Choose Spicy Smoked Barbecue for Manuka-smoked chipotle, slow-roasted onion, pineapple and black molasses. Mango, Turmeric and Ginger is bright, fruity and particularly good with fried chicken, tacos, salads and eggs. Roasted Capsicum and Chilli combines capsicum, cayenne and smoked jalapeno for a rich, smoky all-rounder.
Keep a bottle on the table for burgers, barbecue, roasted vegetables, eggs and anything else requiring a little encouragement.
Apostle was founded by Mat and Lydia, who make their full-flavoured sauces by hand in small batches.
