Archivist The Whale Matches in Square Matchbox celebrate design with character and charm. Each letterpress-printed box features a playful illustration of a whale spurting water in the sea, framed by an orange border and the words “The Whale, Damp Proof, Made With Love, Safety Matches.” Inside are 125 natural wood matches with blue tips, each measuring 100 millimetres long and neatly packed in a white tray.
Measuring 110 by 110 by 30 millimetres, this matchbox adds a bright touch to coffee tables, mantelpieces and gift drawers. Made with FSC certified wood and wrapped in compostable cello, it’s a small yet striking object designed to be both beautiful and useful.
