The book expands on a broader reflection of the home, with a specific focus on cooking and food design—subjects close to Guixé’s heart. As the virtual world grows ever more important, food remains one of the few tangible experiences left, with the power to redefine our relationship with nature through its flavours, smells, and textures.
A pioneer in food design, Guixé compiles texts and illustrations originally created for Casa Mondo, the first virtual exhibition at Maxxi, which launched on Instagram in June 2020. As co-curator Domitilla Dardi notes, Guixé’s work reveals a sharp, filter-free vision of the world, always infused with a vital touch of irony.
