Casegoods Dīpā is a contemporary oil lamp crafted in solid brass, offering a quiet interplay between light, form and reflection. Machined and hand finished with care, each cylindrical vessel holds a hidden reservoir of oil, feeding a central cotton wick. The polished brass basin surrounding the flame reflects its glow in soft, shimmering circles — a gentle presence for the room.
Available in two variations:
Dīpā Wide
A grounded, weighty presence. Ideal for low tables, shelves or altars, it offers a steady burn and sculptural form.
Dīpā Tall
With an elegant vertical profile, the Tall version offers a longer line of sight and is suited to mantels, ledges or quiet corners where the eye is drawn upward.
To use, carefully remove the cotton wick and pour a small amount of oil - such as mustard, sesame or ghee - into the reservoir. Replace the wick so that one end sits in the oil and the other is exposed just above the brass opening. Light the wick and allow the flame to settle. Always place the lamp on a heatproof surface and never leave it unattended while lit.
Designed by MatterMedium, each lamp is made with a focus on longevity, simplicity and meaning. A considered piece for moments of stillness and reflection.
Made in India.
