Coffee Pots from the Masters by Edizioni Corraini

Coffee Pots from the Masters by Giulio Iacchetti is a compact design book exploring 24 interpretations of the classic moka pot.

From Alfonso Bialetti’s original design to coffee makers by Michele De Lucchi, Tom Dixon, Isao Hosoe, Piero Lissoni, Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass and others, it looks at how generations of designers have reworked one of Italy’s most recognisable everyday objects.

Part design history and part visual study, the book shows just how enduring the moka pot has been as an exercise in form, function and domestic ritual.

Published by Edizioni Corraini, it is printed on Crush Coffee paper by Favini, made using coffee-processing by-products to replace part of the virgin tree pulp.

A considered little book for anyone interested in coffee, industrial design or the objects that shape daily life.
