The bread bag is the perfect storage of bread for the die-hard sourdough baker. Stuffing sourdough bread in a plastic bag makes the bread crust soft and doughy. In the bread bag it retains its crunchy crust.
The bag is nice for both serving and storage. It is made of unwashed linen, at its first wash it gets its wonderful rough feeling that washed linen has. The bag is sewn to fit half a normal-sized levain after washing, it shrinks about 5-10%. The straps are made of organic cotton.
