Made from solid porcelain, the humble Taku Ginger Grater from Kinto is much more impressive than it might look at first glance.
The small ridges of teeth are a surprisingly effective way to turn fresh ginger into a meal-ready ingredient, requiring surprisingly little effort compared to chopping and producing finer shreds than standard graters.
Its basin design helps separate the ginger fibres from the puree and juice, offering maximum flavour without the texture that fresh ginger can create. The Grater is also good for handling chocolate, hard cheese, garlic and daikon.
