Throughout August, The Hub General Store is offering a professional knife sharpening service by Andrew Lowe of Lowe Furniture. Andrew has spent years working with timber, tools and craftsmanship.
Alongside handcrafting our exclusive chopping boards, he restores and rehandles quality knives, often giving Japanese blades a second life with carefully sourced hardwood handles.Â
His belief is simple: the best tools aren't replaced when they lose their edge. They're cared for. Simply purchase your sharpening, drop your knife or knives into the store, and we'll let you know when they're ready to collect, usually within seven days.
Each knife is professionally sharpened for $30. As a thank you, you'll also receive a $15 shopping credit for every knife sharpened, redeemable in store when you collect your knives.
Before bringing your knives into the store, please wrap each one safely using a blade guard, tea towel or cardboard sleeve to protect the blade during transport.
