See Saw (also known as The Swing) by Enzo Mari
EDIZIONI CORRAINI

$55.00

See Saw, also known as The Swing, is a wordless picture book by Enzo Mari that blurs the line between object, story and game. Originally conceived in 1961, it remains one of the most playful and conceptual works in children’s book design.

The concertina-fold pages unfold into a continuous strip, featuring a parade of stylised animals — elephants, snakes, kangaroos and more — leaping, tilting and teetering on a simple see-saw. The illustrations speak in shape and rhythm rather than words, exploring ideas of weight, movement, balance and repetition.

Printed in rich black and brown tones, with a bold red and green cover, this book can be read, displayed or played with. It is an artwork as much as it is a children’s book, designed to invite curiosity, laughter and quiet observation.

First developed in 1961. Reissued by Corraini Edizioni.

Made in Italy.
