The Sowden Lamp PL2 is a dual-function portable light designed for modern living. When plugged into a USB power source, it operates as fixed lighting — perfect for bedside tables, bookshelves or workspaces. Even without batteries installed, it will function when connected by cable. Unplug the USB and it switches seamlessly to battery power, giving you portable light wherever you need it, indoors or out.
Each lamp comes with two Sowden 18650 Li-ion rechargeable batteries, 2600 mAh each. They are easy to insert, remove and replace — ideal for restaurants, events or any situation where keeping light flowing matters. Fully charging the batteries takes approximately four hours and delivers up to thirty-six hours of use, depending on brightness.
The PL2 features touch-sensitive brightness control at the top of the lamp, with multiple light levels up to a maximum of 250 lumens. The light source is the Sowden LightDisc 01 — an integrated LED module that provides soft yet focused illumination. A red indicator light shows charging status and switches off when fully charged.
This lamp has a painted aluminium and ABS body, paired with a soft silicone shade that is easy to remove and clean. Measuring 180 mm in diameter and 305 mm in height, it strikes a balance between compact form and practical brightness.
