Taylor and Smith Gin is a small batch Tasmanian gin with a clear sense of place. Distilled in Hobart, it begins with Eau de vie made from crisp Huon Valley apples, then layered with seventeen botanicals gathered from both coast and country. Sweet-scented kunzea, hand-harvested kombu, Tasmanian pepper berries and a touch of leatherwood honey sit alongside juniper, coriander, orris, angelica and blood orange to create a gin that is aromatic, grounded and beautifully complex.
Every drop is cut with water drawn from a lake of snowmelt at Mount Field National Park, giving the spirit remarkable purity and softness. The result is a balanced gin that shines in a dry martini, suits a simple gin and tonic with cucumber or becomes the quiet hero of any well-made cocktail.
