The Things We Keep 38/62 A3
Not specified

$460.00

Part of The Things We Keep, a photographic exhibition presented at The Front Room Gallery for Melbourne Design Week 2026.

Each artwork began with a personal object belonging to a creative, collector, designer, artist, or maker from across Australia. These objects were then handed to photographers, not simply to be documented, but interpreted - transforming private possessions into shared artworks shaped by memory, atmosphere, and emotional response.

Presented as a limited edition of 20, each A3 artwork is printed in Melbourne on fine art cotton rag paper as part of an exclusive companion release available through The Hub General Store. Artwork printing leadtime up to 1 week.

38/62. Our twin boys’ education started at Preshil. From age 3 they were immersed in a place that valued creativity, independent thought, personal responsibility and values that aligned with our family. Each year, Winter Solstice was a magical night of open fires and lantern parades. The children built structures of tissue paper that lit up the night. These structures now hang everywhere at home. 12 years on, as they become fragile, they strengthen my memories of that special time. This one, a fish, bright green/red, is garishly sublime, breaks every rule about colour I have, and I will never let it perish. I think their presence now bring the boys joy and amusement in equal measure.
