Part of The Things We Keep, a photographic exhibition presented at The Front Room Gallery for Melbourne Design Week 2026.
Each artwork began with a personal object belonging to a creative, collector, designer, artist, or maker from across Australia. These objects were then handed to photographers, not simply to be documented, but interpreted - transforming private possessions into shared artworks shaped by memory, atmosphere, and emotional response.
Presented as a limited edition of 20, each A3 artwork is printed in Melbourne on fine art cotton rag paper as part of an exclusive companion release available through The Hub General Store. Artwork printing leadtime up to 1 week.

41/62. David Bielander, a friend and a remarkable visual artist from Munich, fashioned this from nineteenth century silver plate that he purchased in Western Australia, into the shell of a Tortoise. In doing so he imagined a feast of tortoise being consumed on a historic plate by early Europeans that caused the near extinction of the species. I marvel at the thoughtfulness of his narrative, the execution and precision of his work.
