Ferocious and feared in battle, The Bengal Fusiliers (The 'Fighting Furys') fought hard and played harder. Their Tomato Relish enjoyed a reputation not only in their own Officers' Mess but across the sub- continent. Many a visiting officer was seen to ask Ooujak, the head cook, if there was 'any chance of a couple of jars for the men at the front?'
